About Us

Wes and Steve Barton grew up showing lambs. Not fancy, expensive lambs. Lambs that came from the family’s commercial flock. We both loved to show, but didn’t love being at the bottom of the class. We decided that if we ever had the chance we were going to build a show flock with the genetics to win and offer those genetics to nieces and nephews and friends and eventually our own kids to seriously compete! The opportunity came to take over a small flock of show ewes and we took it. We decided that the genetics we liked best were those coming from Brian Johnson. We like style and we love power. We found those genetics and a great friendship with Terry Knudsen of Viking Lamb. We have developed our show flock into serious contenders and although we realize the experience and responsibility of raising a show lamb is reward enough, it feels really good to win and we are excited to be at the point we can be competitive in any show we send our lambs to.

Wes and Steve enjoy the club lamb business and also own Cedar Mountain Lamb which sells cuts of lamb to local restaurants. Wes works as an anesthesia provider at a nearby hospital. Steven and his wife, Angela, and daughter, Charley, live in Orderville where he is branch manager of the bank there
